Welcome to the ASTS Online Abstract Submission

The abstract submission deadline has passed. Submission is closed.

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) invites abstracts to be submitted for the 9th Annual State of the Art Winter Symposium, The Right Organ for the Right Recipient. The submission of any and all clinical or basic research that addresses the surgical, medical or social issues associated with the right organ for the right recipient is encouraged.

Categories include but are not limited to:

  • Kidney
  • Liver
  • Pancreas
  • Heart
  • Lung
  • Donor Management
  • Other
Outstanding abstracts will be selected for oral presentation.
The Top 10 Abstracts will be awarded three nights' hotel accommodations at the Marriott Marco Island Resort, complimentary registration and a $1,000 honorarium.

Review and Notification
All abstracts are blinded for peer review and ranked on the basis of scientific merit. You will be notified in mid November 2009 if your abstract has been accepted for either oral or poster presentation.

All abstract presenters must register for and attend the ASTS 9th Annual State of the Art Winter Symposium.

Note: Registration is complimentary for ASTS Candidate Members, Trainees, and ASTS Members for less than 2 years.

The submission forms will require you to enter the following information:

  • Category (as listed above)
  • Title
  • Name and contact information
  • Abstract Text

When you submit the title of an abstract, the online submission system automatically sends you an email that includes a password-protected hyperlink. If you must interrupt the submission process, you can resume it at any time prior to the submission deadline by clicking on the hyperlink in that email. Submissions and revisions are no longer being accepted.
